One of the oldest festivals, known for discovering world cinema. The Golden Leopard is awarded in the main Piazza Grande. Jahnu Barua's Halodhiya Choraye Baodhan Khai won the Silver Leopard here in 1988 — the first Assamese film to win an international award.
